Tonight I am listing another group of old original cast iron mechanical banks all at no reserve.This is the A Calamity mechanical bank cir. 1905 .Made by J & E Stevens in Cromwell Ct. .This is a rare example of an early americana childs toy.On any given day on ebay , you can see several of the reproductions of this listed but I dont know the last time an original one was listed.There is no damage to any of the cast iron and it has its nice original paint and works well.To operate this bank , you place a coin into the front slot.Pull the players apart and they stay until you press the lever then they crash together.It is a really interesting made bank with the gears on the bottom.The bottom is cast “PAT APLD FOR “.It has the round patd. coin door on the bottom.The size is aprox. 6 ” tall x 5 ” wide x 7 1/2 ” deep .Please do not pay until after we send the invoice as insurance will be added to the total and will depend on the amount it sells for.International shipping is fine and will be actual with no mark up.
