Up for auction we have an ORIGINAL 1937 WALT DISNEY water color celluloid. This rare piece depicts Dopey and Squirrel from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Only a very limited number of these celluloids have been selected to be placed on the market by Walt Disney. The celluloid itself measures 6″ square and the total size of the piece with mat and frame measures 11.75″ by 12.75″. The mat is signed Dopey~ on the lower left hand side. The celluloid does have the expected amount of fading for a piece of this age. As you can see, this piece of art has been hung and enjoyed for many years by its current owner. There is yellowing and a small watermark on the mat which I have tried to photograph for you as well. The frame has been painted green. What a rare event to be able to obtain such a wonderful, original piece of Disney history. Don’t miss out on this one.
