This amazing tooth comes from the most famous of all theropods, Tyrannosaurus Rex. Tyrannosaurus Rex, “The King Tyrant Lizard”, was among the largest and most powerful terrestrial carnivores of all time. Adult Tyrannosaurus Rex grew to a length of 46 feet and was around 18 feet in height. This beautiful T-Rex tooth was found in one piece needing no restoration. The tooth has natural feeding wear on its sides and tip, with only light plant root etchings on its enamel surface. The T-Rex tooth has great enamel, serrations, and preservation with a dark brown to black coloration. A nice T-Rex tooth with very nice serrations and detail. The Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth measures: 1″ inch wide by just over 2 3/4″ inches in length. All T-Rex teeth are truly amazing, unique in their own way. This is all around a great example of a Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth. This T-Rex tooth was dug out of a microsite, or channel deposit, in the Hell Creek Formation of Carter County, Montana. The T-Rex tooth was collected on private ranch land with the owner’s permission.
