Rare 1967 disneyland pirates of the caribbean actual ride attraction framed poster Own a piece of disneyland pirates of the caribbean history!! This is a one of a kind original disneyland dated -1967- actual attraction poster that hung outside the pirates of the caribbean ride in disneyland at new orleans square when the ride originally opened in 1967. The poster reads “pirates of the caribbean” “sail with the tide” “a thrilling adventure cruise though dark mysterious caverns where “dead men tell no tales”. The bottom part reads “see fun loving pirates sack and burn a caribbean seaport” under the pirate reads “captain condent ended his life as an honest merchant” while he is sitting on a barrel cleaning his knife with a 3 skull pirate flag above his head. This was stored in a disney attic for many years and retrieved and kept by a disney worker for over 30 years.the attraction poster has been professionally triple matted and framed which is in excellent condition. The poster does show some wear being in storage for many years before it was framed.i have taken pics of the areas of wear.there is a 1″ inch tear near the top right between the e & a in caribbean,2 small pin holes around the top and some discoloration to the attraction poster.
This is 45 years old and was the last ride walt disney worked on before he past away.
