We are pleased to offer a very attractive 19th C. Chinese Famille Rose Mandarin Vase with applied pairs of Foo Dogs and Chimeras. The vase is decorated with two large panels depicting a court scenes on one side and an entourage arriving at a palace on the other. Each side of the neck also has a cartouche depicting figures. The vase is decorated overall with flowers, birds, butterfly’s etc. The foot is un-glazed and the bottom is glazed white. The quality of the decoration is very well executed. It appears to date to around 1820 to 1835.
Size: It measures 24.5 ” tall and 9.70″ wide. ( 61.25 CM tall and 24.25 CM wide) Weight 16 Pounds.
Condition: Its in very good condition, some rubbing to the gilt around the rim. It has no repairs or restoration. Minor glaze fleck to interior of mouth.
