Authentic rare medieval French helmet from 13th century in quite good condition. It is made of 4 iron plates held together by bands which are riveted to the plates. Damaged on the lower rim and with losses in place in the front on the left. Otherwise the metal is quite well preserved, heavily cleaned. Inside under 4 rivets remains of leather trim. Total height 26 cm, without nose protector 16,5 cm
