The best charmouth ammonite cluster on Ebay and available on the market at the moment. This Flatstone was found way back in the 70’s by barnie, he displayed it proudly in his fossil shop and museum for many years until his passing. It then passed to a private collector where i obtained it and then had the item re-prepared to modern standards. Clusters of this size are no longer found at charmouth and if they are, they are sadly broken down into smaller hand size pieces. Better than museum grade standard fossil. Overall Size:- 56 cm (22 inches) high by 40 cm (16 inches) wide. Found:- Flatstone layer, Lower Lias, Lower Jurassic, Black Ven, Charmouth, Nr. Lyme Regis, Dorset. Great Britain. Age:- 200 million years old
