Rare 1908 Coca Cola “topless” serving tray, produced by the Western Coca Cola Bottling Co. in Chicago. This was the only nude tray ever produced with the Coca Cola trade mark and it was produced by a bottler, not the Coca Cola Co. itself. It has an image of a pretty young lady with a robe draped around her waist, holding a bottle of Coca Cola, in the center. Around this image is the inscription “Wherever ginger ale, seltzer, or soda is good, Coca Cola is better – try it.” The rim is decorated with art nouveau floral designs and cartouches. On the upper left it is inscribed “Drink Coca Cola High Balls” in a blue panel, on the upper right “Drink Coca Cola Gin Rickies” and at the bottom simply “Drink Coca Cola.” The tray is in excellent condition with some surface checking, minor spots of surface rust, and minor edge wear.
