    Posting several different original cast iron Mechanical Banks.  Up for auction is the “BUTTING BUFFALO” circa 1888 mechanical bank  made by the Kyser & Rex Co., Frankford, Pa. the paint looks great. This was one of the owner’s most cherished items. It does not have breakes, cracks or other damage t. To operate, place a coin in the slot over the tree and press the lever. Boy in the bank moves up a tree to see a raccoon. The raccoon goes down in the tree and the coin gets deposited into the bank. It works just fine.  it consist of a rectangular door and has the inscriptions” PAT.APLD FOR” engraved on the bank. .The bank is truly scarce and seldom seen, especially preserved like this one. Measurements are  7 3/4″ lenght x 2 3/4 ” width x 6″ high.
