Folks, here’s one of the most seldom found Gas & Oil collectibles that you will find on ebay these days! The condition of this sign is Spectacular! This type of seldom seen/high quality collectible just does not turn up in today’s market that often, so please try not to miss this one! This will make a welcomed addition to any collection.
This GOOD LUCK (LUCKY HORSE SHOE) SERVICE-GAS STATION PORCELAIN SIGN IS GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL AND OLD. This sign is from the GOOD LUCK OIL COMPANY or GLOCO. Please note:(From time to time you will find the GLOCO small pump signs BUT this Larger size “die cut” sign that reads: “Good Luck Service with the Green Horse Shoe” almost never turns up but here it is!). This sign was usually hung inside the service bay/garage area of the gas station. Being inside is most likely why the condition is so great. This sign is made of VERY THICK PORCELAIN OVER STEEL WITH VERY DEEP “SHELVING to the layers of porcelain. This sign is in near Mint Condition. At the bottom/center edge the sign is marked “Texlite-Dallas” by means of the old fashion process of porcelain decal firing. This sign has just a few minuscule edge nicks/chips, some very minor wear/light scratches or so but nothing serious at all. BUT, the COLORS are STRONG as from the day it was manufactured AND THE GLOSS is Very High. This sign appears to have been very lightly used back in the day. Again, this sign is as close to MINT Condition as there is for a sign this age. Circa 1930’s to 1940’s as determined by the thickness and weight of the porcelain. Great size, measures 31″ X 19″.
