Russian Military Medal Order of St. Anne (Anna) with Swords, 14k / 56 Gold, Albert Kiebel (AK). This auction is for this authentic and original Russian military medal: Order of St. Anne (also known as the Order of St. Anna). This medal was awarded for military members –not civilians- (hence, the swords) for acts of valour and distinguished military service. This medal is marked 56 on the top ring (which is 56 zolotniks and the equivelant of 14k gold). It also has deep red enamel over gold and a porcelain painted center of St. Anne on the front and a hand painted blue and white design on the back (please see pics). It is approx 35mm across. Hallmarked on the back under the enamel (just below the hand painted porcelain center) with the letters AK, which stands for Albert Keibel (St. Petersburg, 1882-1910). The other hallmark (just above the porcelain center) of the eagle. This medal also comes with the red ribbon with a thin line of yellow around the edge (which I believe to be original). This is really a wonderful piece. As you can see from the pics there is a bit of damage to the back porcelain that could be repaired by a person who specializes in jewelry repair or fine porcelain repair. This medal is being sold as-is. Other than that, I didn’t notice any damage anywhere else on the piece. I have taken many pictures so you can see what you are bidding on. This is a true, authentic, original 14k/56 Gold Russian St. Anne medal. This is NOT a reproduction or a knockoff- it is the real thing!
